Anti-Aging is more than skin deep

Anti-Aging is not just about reducing wrinkles and preventing dry, cracking skin. Anti-Aging is also important to preserving health, preventing diseases and reversing damage to organs, including skin; ensuring healthy blood and lymph, as well as nourishing the system to lower inflammation, which feeds diseases. Meat encourages inflammation, but worse, diseased animal DNA infuses with human DNA. In other words, if that chicken you ate for dinner last night has cancerous cells, these dangerous cells burn onto and fuse with your DNA, because we are all animals and the DNA is too similar. Pork is most dangerous because pig flesh is closest to human flesh, though all animal flesh carries a great risk. It is important to note that milk, and other animal by-products carry the same risk. Milk is implicated in cancers and autoimmune diseases. What can we do to prevent disease and age gracefully? Eat more plants, seeds, nuts and healthful gluten-free grains such as brown rice. Make a concerted effort to eat less and less flesh and more and more plant-based foods. Plants have a very different DNA than animals, which means we do not bond with plant DNA. We do extract nutrients, enzymes, fiber and life-sustaining fats from plants. Start each day with fresh fruit. Eat vegetable salads for lunch and dinner. Add raw walnuts, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds to salads. Don't worry about calories with plant-based foods. The dense nutrient/fiber content ensures a thorough colon cleansing, with purifying chlorophyll. The benefits are limitless. The risks are a healthy weight, reduced blood pressure and cholesterol, lowering inflammation, reversing diseases and healthier, wrinkle-free skin and internal organs! Celiac Disease -- Real or Fad?

Celiac -- real or a fad?

Celiac Disease is real. And those with autoimmune diseases should avoid gluten foods. Vitiligo and Celiac Disease share a gene. Same disease, two names. For those who have other autoimmune diseases, a correlation between consuming gluten foods and milk products shows a real danger to health when consuming wheat and other gluten grains, as well as milk and its by-products.

In Naturopathy, it is long known that wheat is not a health food. Wheat produces acid in the blood. For health, the blood should be more alkaline than acidic. All animal products are acid producing, whereas whole plant-based foods in their natural state, including citrus, are alkaline producing foods.

For health, choose gluten-free grains such as brown rice, quino and buckwheat as well as almond milk, coconut milk and hemp milk products. Your body will produce less inflammation and inflammation is fuel for diseases.

We offer body butter kits for vitiligo, eczema, anti-aging, dry skin, scar tissue, customized by request.

Coming Soon: MySkinTreats.com will carry general, all-natural and organic skin care with no harmful ingredients.

Resolutions v Lifestyle Changes & more

We are more than half way through the month of January. 2012 is off to a roaring start. No doubt, many people have abandoned their resolutions to lose weight, eat healthfully or stick to their natural health regimen.

Instead of resolutions, I encourage lifestyle changes. Changing a few things in your diet and your daily habits can make a huge difference in your health. A salad before every meal, for example, can improve your digestion and improve your health. Health begins in the gut. Where there are health problems, there are gut problems.

A fruit salad every morning, or a piece of fruit, along with a cup of herbal tea, with a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime, and sweetened with thyroid boosting coconut crystals, are a great way to start the day.

A vegetable salad with an apple cider vinegar and olive oil or sesame oil dressing, with crushed garlic and cayenne flakes as a starter or replacement meal for lunch and dinner will improve your health, circulation and gut.

These simple lifestyle changes can make a world of difference in your general health and will encourage healthy, glowing, blemish-free skin.

Our Wonders of Winter Sale continues with an additional 10% off taken on everything, including consultations. If you have some health issues or would like to consult on specific herbs, homeopathy, supplements, foods, exercises or lifestyle changes to improve your health, please consider a 30 minute consultation.
